You’ve never planned a wedding before, and suddenly you're expected to know exactly how this works. I get it. You're juggling a million decisions, and choosing your photographer is a big one. That's why I'm here to walk you through what matters—and skip the fluff.
These are the questions couples ask me most often, and I’ve answered them with the kind of clarity and care I offer throughout your experience. You deserve to feel informed, confident, and excited about what’s ahead.
So what if you didn’t have to figure it all out alone? What if you had someone to guide you—someone who sees the bigger picture and the in-between moments? That’s where I come in.
A: Yes—and they’re some of my favorite sessions to photograph. It’s a chance for us to get to know each other and for you to get comfortable in front of the camera before the big day. Plus, you can display custom framing or a book on your wedding day.
A: You’re not alone! Most of my couples say this, and by the end of the session, they’re laughing and completely at ease. I gently guide you with prompts, not stiff poses, and help you focus on each other instead of the camera.
A: I keep true-to-life colors with a timeless, clean, film aesthetic that feels like you remembered the day. No trendy filters—just beautiful, honest images that will look as lovely now as they will 30 years from now.
A: Yes! I build a custom photography timeline and send the initial draft right after booking for every couple, so your day flows smoothly and you get the best light and breathing room between moments. I’m here to help you feel prepared, never rushed.
A: I’m calm, organized, and fully present. I’ll guide you when needed, step back for the in-between moments, and work alongside your timeline so you can fully soak in the joy of your day without worrying about what's next.
A: Popular dates go quickly, especially spring and fall weekends. Most couples reach out 12–14 months ahead, but don’t let that stop you if you’re earlier or later in the process—if I’m available, I’d love to connect.
Depending on the season, my portrait clients typically book around 2-3 months in advance.
A: Rain or shine, I’m ready. I always have a backup plan, extra gear, and a calm presence no matter what the day brings. During your final timeline call, we will discuss potential backup locations for portraits. You can relax knowing that capturing your memories is in good hands.
A: All wedding galleries come with a personal print release, so you’re free to print and share your high-resolution images with family and friends. That said, many of my couples come to me for help with custom albums and framing because, let’s be honest—knowing where to start can feel overwhelming. I love helping you turn your favorite images into something tangible and lasting, guiding you through the process so your photos don’t just live online, but in your hands and on your walls.
A: You can expect around 75 images per hour of coverage, all hand-edited and delivered in a private online gallery. Every image you receive is thoughtfully selected to tell the entire story of your day.
A: Yes—and I believe in them wholeheartedly. I design heirloom albums and custom wall art that help your photos live off your screen and in your hands. It’s about more than images—it’s about legacy. During your reveal celebration, I will design heirlooms custom to your home, and by the end of the meeting, they're ready to send to print and shortly after delivered to your door!
A: The first step is a discovery call to ensure we are a great fit. Then, I will send a proposal to secure your date. For full-day wedding coverage, a $1000 retainer and contract are required to reserve a date.
A: I do! My business is based in Columbia, Missouri, but I frequently serve St. Louis, Kansas City, and beyond. If your celebration is outside Mid-Missouri, I’ll create a custom travel quote, and I’ll always arrive early to scout locations and prepare.
I'd love to hear from you! I aim to answer all emails within my normal business hours of M-F, 9-4pm CST.
